Singer Christina Milian has paid tribute to her baby nephew, who passed away hours after his birth on Wednesday.
The “Dip It Low” hitmaker’s stylist sister, Danielle, who stars alongside her on “Christina Milian Turned Up,” gave birth to son Richie on Wednesday, but only manged to cradle the newborn briefly before he passed away.
During her pregnancy, doctors discovered the baby was suffering from a condition that causes organs to grow outside the body and advised her to terminate the pregnancy, but Danielle and her husband, Richard Dickerson, decided to go through with the pregnancy.
Shortly after giving birth she informed fans her son had passed away.
Milian is now thanking fans for their support in an Instagram message, writing, “The last 24 hours have been an emotional roller coaster but i’d like to thank everyone for being so supportive throughout my sister Danielle & Richard’s pregnancy. The both of them have shown the true measure of courage and faith for the last 9 months and I can’t praise them more.
“Our family was blessed to have met our little Angel Baby Richie. We were fighting for him and with him the whole way and are now coping with the direction in which fate took. I ask that you keep him and our entire family in your prayers… and know that we’ve all been touched by our little Guardian Angel. His memory will forever live on in our thoughts and our hearts. May he now rest in peace in the arms of our Heavenly Father.”
